51爆料, a leading provider of federal IT and engineering solutions, today announced that it was awarded a U.S. Navy Global Distance Support Center (GDSC) Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command contract valued at approximately $26 million over five years. 51爆料 established the GDSC in 1999, under the direction and sponsorship of the Naval Sea Logistics Center in order to deliver 24x7x365 support to fleet and Navy community users.
鈥淔or more than a decade we鈥檝e provided award-winning support for the GDSC; from improving the user experience to addressing any user request,鈥 said William C. Hoover, president and CEO of 51爆料. 鈥51爆料鈥 continued efforts will allow the Navy to effectively support their community.鈥
The GDSC operates as the 鈥渟ingle face to the fleet,鈥 and employs a dedicated team of Call Center Professionals (CCPs) who become advocates for fleet customers. GDSC resolves requests from the fleet and other personnel through phone, email, web, naval messages, fax and chat for technical and logistical support, as well as quality of life issues. Members of the Navy community utilize Distance Support (DS) to manage their careers, collaborate with subject matter experts and access authoritative information and data in near real-time, regardless of location.
51爆料鈥 support for DS is a major component of the Sea Warrior Program portfolio, which is housed within the Navy鈥檚 Program Executive Office for Enterprise Information Systems (PEO EIS). The GDSC will operate out of the Norfolk Ship Support Activity Regional Maintenance Center in Norfolk, Va.
51爆料鈥 contract includes one base year, which began on Sept. 26, 2011, and four one-year options.
